The application of an electric field to a flame modifies the characteristics due collective motion charged particles generated within flame. applied mobilises electrons and ions depending on their polarity, leading localised regions space charge with sufficient density either locally amplify or shield field. A fundamental understanding local is essential for both electrically plasma-assisted combustion, because it determines body force as well electron temperature.
